About Ezekiel’s Closet

What is Ezekiel's Closet?

Many foster families get the call for a placement and that child is in their home within hours of the call. In reality, most of these children come into care with little or no possessions. Foster families must adapt to new genders, age groups, and sizes that they may be under equipped to handle at moment’s notice. The mission of Ezekiel’s Closet is to the hands and feet of Jesus as we meet the needs of foster families in our community. Ezekiel’s Closet is a place where children and families can come to find clothing, shoes, toiletries, bedding, toys, and other items

that they might need. All items are free to foster families for children in their care.

Where is Ezekiel's Closet?

We are located at 909 N Harris Drive Dexter, MO 63841.

A donation bin is outside of our store, open to drop offs at anytime.

Check our Facebook Page for weekly hours that vary!

Who do we serve?

Ezekiel’s Closet serves foster and kinship families in Stoddard, Dunklin, Butler, Scott, and all surrounding counties. We offer 24/7 access to essential items to Missouri licensed foster parents, Missouri DSS caseworkers, CASA volunteers, School Resource Officers, and kinship

providers. We are so blessed to be able to serve and will do our best to provide the items you need to support your kids. Everything we have is donated by our community and given to families caring for foster kids for free. Our prayer is that your family will feel seen , supported, and valued by our community.

Why is it named Ezekiel's Closet?

Meet the little guy behind our mission: Ezekiel Jon Mosbey.

Since the day he was born, he has blessed the Mosbey family tremendously… and has now inspired the creation of Ezekiel’s Closet.

Sadly, most children get placed into new homes, and only have a trash bag with little to no items with them. With your help, we want to make sure each kid walks in a new home with clothes, toiletries, and maybe even a toy (or two).

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John‬ ‭3‬:‭16‬ ‭NIV‬‬‭‭
